Rotation
Rotation is a blender designed for a joyful cooking experience by improving interaction between the device and user. It can be started by rotating the container and rotates back to stop. Form and function are two key elements focused in this project.

Marketing Research
Two types of research, competitor research and user research, were studied before design stage. Competitor research was based on price-quality and design-quality examination and one target brand, Oster, was selected as a target brand to conduct a further user research.
Competitor Research
Competitor research was based on price-quality and design-quality. Oster and Ninja were two possible targets brand for further research.
User Research
In user research, ten models of Oster was further examined.
Concept Sketches
Several blender design concepts were developed to improve cooking experience with consideration of form and function.
“Turn on and off by turning over” was chosen as the main character of the blender’s function, and different forms were also tried.
