Yangyang Yang 杨扬杨
Yangyang Yang is an experience designer, human–computer interaction (HCI) researcher, and creative technologist. She creates interactive experiences using augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), and interactive installations to support embodied and multimodal learning in informal settings, such as museums and outdoor environments. Her work spans ecological learning, STEAM education, cultural heritage preservation, community revitalization, and brand activation.
She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of California, Berkeley, in the School of Information and the Berkeley Center for New Media. She received her M.S. in Engineering and Management from the School of Engineering and the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and her B.A. in Product Design from the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She also co-founded Look Alive Studio, which creates immersive experiences for brand activation and edutainment.
Her research has been published at CHI and DIS, and her designs have been exhibited at the Lawrence Hall of Science, MIT Museum, MIT Wiesner Art Gallery, World Maker Faire, CES, Newlab Brooklyn, and Showfields NYC.
